The Artist

These two paintings are inspired by the film “The Artist”, which is a beautiful evocation of the history of cinema and in particular the transition from silent to speaking. This period highlighted the adaptation difficulties of certain stars who then lost their star status.

I took over the magnificent scene where the character of Bérénice Béjo, finds herself in the dressing room of the actor whom she admires, approaches the coat rack, plunges her arm into the jacket of the actor and gives the impression let him hug her.
